We’re so glad you’re here. At I Love Pugs Home Boarding, our mission is simple…to provide the perfect, loving stay for your pugs while you’re away – whether you’re off on holiday or need some time for yourself we are here to provide the best stay possible.
A bit about us
As lifelong pug owners with over 18 years of experience, we understand just how hard it can be to leave your precious pugs behind. Let’s be honest – pugs are truly one of a kind and it takes someone who really understands the breed to care for them the way they deserve.
That’s why we created a safe, cozy, and stress-free environment where your pugs (and yes, even their non-pug siblings!) are treated like family with our pug boarding in Newcastle. Whilst we specialise in pugs, we also welcome other small breeds – particularly when they’re part of the same household.
What makes us unique? We offer a one household at a time service. This means we only board one family’s dog, or dogs – at any given time. There’s no mixing of different households, so your dogs get all the undivided attention, love, and one-on-one care they need.
We’re always here to answer any questions you may have – no query is too small when it comes to the care of your beloved dog.
To help your pug settle in comfortably, we require a trial day or overnight stay before any main booking. This gives us the chance to get to know your dog and helps them feel right at home when it’s time for their longer stay.
Ahead of your booking, we’ll send you a short questionnaire to gather all the personal details we need to tailor the stay to your dog’s unique needs and personality. You’ll also receive a welcome PDF (available digitally or by post) with everything you need to know about staying with us.
We started I Love Pugs Home Boarding because we saw a real gap in the North East of England for home based boarding services that truly understand pugs. After saying goodbye to our own precious pugs – who reached the incredible ages of 15.5 and 16.5 – we felt inspired to bring this dream to life. Our goal is simple: to give fellow dog owners the kind of trusted care we always wished we had for our pugs.

We do accept puppies, but please note: they must be microchipped and have had both vaccinations prior to their stay.
